The Brand

Bud & Petal was conceived to meet the increasing need for high quality and stylish maternity clothes in the UK. The brand has been developed by Linda Nnene, a professional mum and formerly a 6th Form College Head of Law with two young children. Linda understands the need for the fashion conscious women to remain attractively styled when pregnant. Hence, the research and behind the scenes effort aimed at developing and producing high quality maternity wear began in earnest in 2003. This work has gone through several phases culminating in the launch of the brand and on-line shop in 2005.

The company behind the brand is Palm Frond Ltd which was set up by Linda and her husband, Ike a medical practitoner.

The name ‘Bud & Petal’ was inspired by our comparison of childbearing to another wonder of creation the development and blossoming of flowers. ‘Bud & Petal’ therefore implies something special, ...very precious, ... developing beauty.

We have carefully chosen names for our maternity clothes to reflect our style.

All of our maternity wear and baby clothing is made for Bud & Petal. We are working with a team of talented clothes designers and manufacturers and are constantly striving to obtain the most up to date styles for our customers.
