The 'Riches' of seaweed

The use of Seaweed as food and health source is recorded as far back as 800BC in China. Seaweed is all rich in essential minerals and trace elements.

Seawater has almost the same proportion of minerals as the human blood.

The algae (seaweed) used in Bud & Petal Stretchmark Minimizing Gel is grown in specially designed cultivation ponds. Because the algae is constantly bathed in pure, uncontaminated seawater from the Mediterranean Marine Reserve of Rosh Hanikra, they absorb high levels of nutrients. Pond cultivation enables continuous production of the sea-vegetables that have a more uniform quality than the wild harvested or even the sea cultivated product.

In addition to minerals, such as, iodine and iron, seaweed contains trace elements, which can make a difference in Human health. These trace elements include zinc, boron, chromium, selenium and tin to name a few. Moreover, seaweed contain high level of vitamins and particularly vitamin B12, unlike any other land plant.
